The Carole and Ronald Krist Samaritan Center for Counseling and Education is a not-for-profit faith-based organization committed to providing affordable counseling services and educational programs to people of all economic backgrounds.
Founded in 1986, the Center is accredited as a service center and training program by the American Association of Pastoral Counselors and the Samaritan Institute. The Center has served a quarter of a million families and has 21 office locations throughout the Houston and Galveston area.
Our counseling services in Houston, Texas and surrounding areas are based on the philosophy that the mind, body and spirit are interconnected. We treat each client as a “whole” person within the context of their life situation.
We offer the following services:
- Counseling for individuals, families, marriages and children
- Specialized academic, career and psychological testing
- Preventative education programs
- Training for clergy and mental health professionals
Our faith-based counseling encompasses serious mental illness, family issues, domestic abuse, trauma issues, teen issues, anxiety treatment, alcohol/drug abuse, divorce recovery, depression, spiritual issues and more. Counseling services are available on a sliding fee scale.
Services at the Center are performed in a caring and positive environment by highly-qualified, trained professionals.
