Sanctuary Choir
Director: Barry Talley
Rehearsing: Wednesday Nights, 7 p.m. in Room # 112
The mission of the Sanctuary Choir is to witness through a wide selection of hymns and praise songs every Sunday morning during the 10:30 a.m. Worship service in the Sanctuary. We embrace this mission by meeting to practice every Wednesday night to polish up the Sunday selection and work on new songs for the future. Since we practice ahead you do not have to be here every Wednesday or even every Sunday. The choir is comprised of some very talented experienced section leaders and filled out with a large number of “shower singers” who will help and encourage you.
Fast Facts:
- You do not have to read music to be a member.
- You do not have to audition to be a member.
- You will not be singled out for a solo unless you ask for one.
- If you miss a note or sing off key, it will not go on your permanent record.
- We have an excellent accompanist, nifty robes and our director isn’t too bad either.
Please come give us a try. All you have to do to join is just show up and we will handle the rest.

The tour will include admission to Windsor Castle, Shakespeare's Birthplace, Warwick Castle, the New Room Chapel in Bristol, Bath Abbey, the Roman baths, Stonehenge, St. Paul's Cathedral, the Wesley House and Chapel, as well as the Tower of London. We’ll be going to Oxford and spending a day there as well. A West End show is also included. Accommodations are in 3 / 4 star hotels. Inclusions are daily breakfasts and numerous evening meals. Great Opportunity
If you have never toured with a group—it is a wonderful way to go. The price for this trip is a great deal. A chance to trace some Methodist history and see where our Methodist movement had its roots is quite an opportunity. There will be about 50% of the tour group not involved in the performing choir so you’ll be among lots of other non singers.
We will travel from Bush Intercontinental Airport.
Contact Barry Talley for more information to reserve your spot.
